Anna Stichbury

Stichbury’s love of textural contrasts draws the viewer’s eye to the surface of the canvas.  With a background in textural design she graduated from the School of Design in Wellington with a Bachelor in Design majoring in Textiles.  She has considered herself a “self-conscious painter” where the outside world was a constant inspiration of her work, also inspired by a personal expression of her internal feelings and emotions.
